BOMBANANA Symbol Guide

Identify the sounding Symbol, describe its shape clearly, and keep the current stage attached to the manual lookup. Includes visual naming examples and source limits.

HEAR IT. NAME IT. CHECK THE STAGE.

The reported lookup needs the sounding symbol and the current stage. Locate the sound with the selector, identify that shape, then use your in-game manual to choose the colored button.

Identification and communication guide. We have inspected module reference images, but have not obtained a complete Symbol answer table or independently verified a successful current-release solve. The examples below teach descriptions; none assigns a button color to a symbol.

A selector, shapes and answer buttons.

The inspected module illustration shows four shapes around a central selector, three large button areas on the right, and four small indicators on the left. A separate gameplay screenshot shows the same overall control arrangement with a different set of shapes.

OBSERVE

Selected shape

Keep track of the pointer’s current selection. A description of another visible shape will send the manual reader to the wrong entry.

LISTEN

Sound cue

Community instructions describe finding the symbol that produces sound. Coordinate the selector’s movement with a teammate who can hear it.

PAIR

Current stage

The reported lookup also depends on the stage. Establish it from the current panel and manual rather than treating a remembered symbol as a permanent color answer.

The reference illustration is monochrome. It can show shapes and control positions, but it cannot establish live button colors, which symbol is sounding, or how the stage indicators behave.

Keep the clue still while the team reads it.

The community references agree on the basic sequence: rotate to locate a sound-producing symbol, then combine that symbol with the stage to obtain a button color. The coordination checkpoints below are our suggested way to carry out that sequence.

  1. Identify this Symbol panel.

Give its location on the bomb. Agree on names for the selector and answer buttons so a rotation instruction cannot be mistaken for a press.

  2. Move the selector and listen.

Blind operates the control. A teammate who can hear confirms the sound cue; Deaf describes the visible selection. Do not ask Deaf to confirm audio they cannot hear.

  3. Confirm one shape and the stage.

Keep the selector on the identified shape while the team matches its details. Pair that observation with the current stage before consulting the manual.

  4. Look up the button in the live manual.

Mute reads the applicable entry and signals its answer. Deaf translates the color into a physical button location for Blind.

  5. Repeat the location, then act.

Blind confirms the intended button. After the press, inspect the response and establish the current state before preparing another instruction.

Describe the detail that makes it different.

These four simplified drawings are based on shapes visible in the inspected module illustration. The names are suggested team vocabulary, not official labels or an exhaustive list. Their order here is not a puzzle solution or the panel’s layout. The separate gameplay screenshot shows a different selection of shapes.

NAMING EXAMPLE 1

Circle with a vertical bar

Name the circle and the bar through its center. Include the bar’s vertical orientation; “circle” alone drops an identifying detail.

NAMING EXAMPLE 2

Hollow five-point star

Count the points and describe the empty center. Keep “hollow” in the agreed name instead of shortening it to “star” during the lookup.

NAMING EXAMPLE 3

Rounded hourglass

Describe the narrow middle and curved upper and lower halves. “Hourglass” is a suggested nickname; compare the actual outline before accepting a match.

NAMING EXAMPLE 4

Triangle with an upper crossbar

Specify that the horizontal bar crosses near the top and extends past the triangle’s sides. Keep that separate from the triangle’s bottom edge.

Use the actual panel to settle an ambiguous name. Check outline, fill and internal marks separately. If a nickname could describe two shapes, add the distinguishing feature before the manual lookup.

Keep observations and answers separate.

CLUE TO THE MANUAL READER

Symbol — [panel location].
Stage: [confirmed stage].
Sound confirmed at: [selected shape].
Shape details: [agreed description].

ANSWER TO THE OPERATOR

Same panel, stage [number].
Manual answer: [color].
Physical button: [confirmed location].
Repeat that location before pressing.

The brackets are fields to fill from your game. There is deliberately no sample color: a plausible-looking “stage two + star = yellow” would be a made-up answer without the corresponding manual entry.

Interrupted mid-lookup? Confirm the panel, stage and selected shape before resuming. If any changed, obtain a fresh manual answer rather than finishing an instruction tied to the earlier state.

Resolve the mismatch before another press.

Do I describe every shape to the manual reader?

Start by establishing which selection produces the sound, as the community instructions describe. Then concentrate the detailed description on that selected shape. Reading unrelated shapes at the same time can mix their features together.

Why is a correct shape description still insufficient?

The reported rule also uses the current stage. Check that the manual reader has both pieces of information from the same moment.

Can the Blind Monkey press a color by name?

The spoken color still needs to become a physical location. Have the sighted teammate identify the matching button and relay that position consistently.

Is “hourglass” an official symbol name?

No. The naming cards use descriptive labels we suggest for communication. Match the visible features, rather than assuming every player or manual uses those exact words.

Are these all the symbols?

No. The four cards illustrate one reference image. The separate gameplay image contains other outlines, and neither image provides a complete symbol-to-stage-to-color table.

Does a wrong button restart the sequence?

We have not verified the reset behavior or the full stage progression in the current release. Check the response and current manual instead of assuming you should restart or advance.

What we checked, and what is still missing.

We inspected the community-hosted module illustration and a gameplay panel screenshot. They support the visual identification notes. Neither is a complete manual or proof of an answer.

The basic sound-and-stage procedure is reported by the community Symbol reference, which labels its coverage v1.0.0, and the Whisper of the House Symbol article. Their version and gameplay claims have not been independently verified here. We have not treated their examples or first-person accounts as our own experience.

Still needed: the complete in-game Symbol manual, a continuous solve with a visible version, confirmed stage behavior and exact symbol/color mappings. Until then, use this page for identification and team communication, and your current manual for the actual button answer.

Continue to the manual overview, compare the Piano lookup, or browse the module directory.
