BOMBANANA Morse Code Guide

Read BOMBANANA Morse display sockets, compare a captured in-game number table, and keep four answers in order. Includes a worked lookup exercise.

FOUR SOCKETS. KEEP THEIR ORDER.

Match each socket’s signal to your game manual, then enter the corresponding number in that socket. The captured instruction shows four number displays followed by Enter.

Inspect the captured mapping ↓
Check your manual before using this table. The captured game page pairs patterns with different numbers from a conventional numeric Morse chart. Its version is unknown; we have not established whether mappings change between games. The rows below describe this screenshot only.

Keep the signal and its socket together.

The manual’s diagram has four separate numeric displays. Its instruction connects a Morse signal to each display socket and places Enter after the number inputs. Use that relationship to organize the team’s callouts:

  1. Name the socket first.

Agree on positions 1–4 from left to right when facing the panel. Treat that numbering as a team convention, so the signal and returned number refer to the same place.

  2. Capture the complete pattern.

The table pictured below uses five marks per row. Pass dots and dashes in their original order. If a mark or the start is unclear, ask for a fresh complete observation instead of finishing the pattern from memory.

  3. Read the number from the current manual.

Find the exact pattern in the book, then report its row number together with the socket. Do not substitute the number you remember from ordinary Morse code.

  4. Prepare all four positions before Enter.

Check that each displayed number matches its own decoded pattern. The manual shows Enter as the final submission; selecting a number and submitting the four-number result are separate actions.

A captured manual example.

This is a transcription of the game manual screenshot, not a universal numeric Morse alphabet. The dot symbol is shown as . and a dash as -. Compare every row with the book in your session.

6....-Dot, dot, dot, dot, dash
7..---Dot, dot, dash, dash, dash
8.----Dot, dash, dash, dash, dash
9---..Dash, dash, dash, dot, dot

For example, the screenshot places five dots beside 4, and five dashes beside 3. Those row labels are why a familiar-looking pattern still needs the game’s own lookup.

Practice keeping four answers in place.

Illustrative exercise, not a recorded solve. Suppose four sockets have the following patterns and your in-game table matches the screenshot above. Looking up each row gives:

  1. SOCKET 1--...5
  2. SOCKET 2....-6
  3. SOCKET 3...--0
  4. SOCKET 4.----8

The exercise produces 5 · 6 · 0 · 8 in socket order. If you decoded socket 3 before socket 1, the zero still belongs in socket 3. The order in which a team learns the answers does not rename the physical sockets.

One mark can change the row. In this screenshot, ....- points to 6, while ..... points to 4. Four dots alone do not identify either answer. This comparison follows the pictured table and does not claim a measured audio timing rule.

Check the mismatch before submitting again.

Why is this different from a standard Morse chart?

The row labels in the captured game manual differ from the conventional numeric mapping. The screenshot establishes that difference; it does not establish whether the cause is a version change or a variable table. Follow the manual shown in your own game.

We have four numbers but lost their positions.

Recover the socket–pattern pairs before entering them. In the exercise, knowing the numbers 5, 6, 0 and 8 without their positions is insufficient. A label such as “socket three: zero” preserves the missing relationship.

Can I count the green flashes to get the number?

This page does not establish a flash-count decoding rule. The captured instruction refers to the Morse code played by each socket. Use the actual pattern and current table rather than treating the number of visible flashes as the answer.

How long is a dot or a dash in this game?

We have not measured the game’s signal duration or repeat interval. The table records symbols, not timing thresholds. Do not apply a guessed millisecond cutoff; compare the signal with the game’s own presentation and repeat an uncertain observation.

Our manual has different row labels.

Use yours. Treat this page’s exercise as an explanation of the lookup process, and decode against the current table. An input sequence copied from another session is not a substitute for the manual in front of you.

What has been checked.

The four-display diagram, number-to-pattern rows and final Enter instruction were read from the captured BOMBANANA Morse manual, hosted alongside Whisper of the House’s Morse article. The article’s typed numeric table does not match the screenshot; this page uses the pictured rows.

The image does not identify its game version. We have not independently verified a complete successful Morse recording, per-role signal access, input-button cycling behavior or whether the mapping stays fixed between sessions. The worked example is a table exercise, not a playtest claim.
